Deepika Padukone, “Cannes” we raid your closet?
When the Padmavaat actor landed in the South of France for the Festival de Cannes or Cannes Film Festival in 2017, she blew us away with her stunning red carpet looks and glammed-up street style.
Deepika, who made her debut as a L’Oreal Paris brand ambassador at the 70th Cannes festival, consistently wore one head-turning look after the other, and more than once they’d left us speechless. From a teal gown with a high slit to an ethereal, unusual plum-hued gown, Deepika made bold statements with her clothes at the star-studded gala. And she tended to do it with in-your-face colours (as you will see, below) and pieces from Johanna Ortiz, Marchesa, and Balenciaga.
The Cannes Film Festival will take place between May 8-18 and Deepika will walk the red carpet on May 10 and 11 as L’Oreal Paris brand ambassador. This will mark Deepika’s third appearance at Cannes Film Festival, after her 2010 and 2017 stint.

Before Deepika made her red carpet debut, she was seen on her way from the airport looking every bit the effortlessly put-together star she is. Her stylist Shaleena Nathani chose a breezy mustard yellow top by French label Chloé for her look, which was paired with skinny ripped jeans by Topshop, suede Chloé boots and a Chanel handbag.
Deepika made a moody appearance at Cannes 2017 opening ceremony, the xXx: Return of Xander Cage star wore a Marchesa Notte Fall 2017 gown with a sweeping train. We’re so struck by the colour and drama of crystal-encsusted gown.
For her another red carpet appearance, Deepika’s stylist Elizabeth Saltzman, whose clientele includes the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman and Saoirse Ronan, picked a teal Brandon Maxwell gown with a high slit and one shoulder detailing that opened up into a dramatic cape. Her look was further accessorised with diamond jewellery by Swiss luxury label De Grisogono and shoes by Chloe Gossselin. Her make-up was equally dramatic to mark the moment.
Deepika wore this playful, summery red floral maxi dress with ruffle detail from Johanna Ortiz’s fall 2017 collection, and Charlotte Olympia heels. Deepika wore slender, golden cuffs from Messika with the dress and highlighted her look with bright blue eyeshadow.
Deepika kept it elegant in a Galvan London dress and a high knot for a round of interviews at Cannes 2017. She paired the dress with a pair of matching Chritian Louboutin stilettos and dainty Messika jewellery.

Deepika made a case for bold colours in her bright yellow turtle neck dress by Solace London. Her fitted dress with exaggerated sleeves was styled with a pair of gorgeous Louboutin sandals and dainty floral earrings.
